Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Dear Office:

I want to add a course. My family currently has some financial problems, so I just dropped three other courses this term which includes Film 340 before September 20th. but today, My mother's loan was approved. So I want to appeal to add a course which is Film 340. Otherwise, it will delay my graduation. I just knew about my family's financial problems a few days ago, so I nearly did not miss any information and assignments on this course. I will try my best to catch up on this course as soon as my appeal is approved. About my academic plan, I will take 3 courses this term and a full course load in the next few terms until I graduate. And I will take two summer term courses to catch up on my study progress. So this course is really important to me, if I do not take it, I will have an extra term with only one course. Also, I really enjoy this course, I feel so sad when I drop it. I hope the school can give me a chance.
