Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Dear Dean,
I am kindly requesting to drop out of my HIST 228 course past the deadline dropout date. Unfortunately, my mental health has been negatively impacted by my performance in the course, and I have missed out on the submission of my previous assignments that even if I do well on the remaining ones, cannot ensure my ability to pass. I am hoping that I could please drop out to focus more on my mental health and to focus more on my other courses. This year I thought I could handle 5 courses per semester even though I usually take 4, with the 5th one in the summer, but unfortunately, I cannot handle it. I know it is late, but I hope you can take my appeal into consideration. Thank you. I am registered under QSAS for my mental health but it has been difficult to reach for support with the stress that I am under.
