Petition Letter: Dear ma??am/sir,
I??m writing this because I??m appealing to drop the Course Econ290 for fall2021.
The reason for making this decision is that I??m unable to cope up with the 5 different courses and it causing severe distress to my mental and physical well-being I have also been informed that I might be suffering for ADHD with could be the reason behind me not being able to cope up. Hence after being discussing with my student wellness councilor ( Amber McCart) and psychiatrist ( Anne Duffy), I came to the conclusion that it would be in my best interest to drop a course to ease of the load. The reason I have chosen to drop Econ290 is because of the fact that it was purely and elective course and does not have anything to do with my regression with the applied economics major. The other reason is that it has a final exam associated with worth 50% of my entire grade and hence it is causing excessive anxiety and distress as I??m not being able to cope with the workload. I??m looking to get properly treated this winter. Therefore, for now appealing to ease of some load so I could cope with the remaining semester.
I the appeal adequately describes my issue and I??m looking forward to hearing back
Sincerely
Ritvik Awasthi
