Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: The reason why I want to drop two courses so late in the semester is because I've had a difficult semester and I've fallen severely behind in all of my courses. There is not one isolated thing that caused me to fall so behind but rather a collection of things.
Firstly, the external forces:
When school began I was doing well and really enjoying course content, but then at the end of September I got really sick. I had extremely bad abdominal pain, a fever, and I was throwing up bile. It lasted for around 2 weeks and I was completely unable to do school because all I could do was sleep all day, my brain was not working. I went to the emergency room twice, and it was concluded I had a very swollen intestine and an infection. This put me very behind in school. Then, I had to go to Pakistan during midterm week to visit my grandmother because she was very sick. I was unable to do much schoolwork there because I was very jetlagged/tired all day(it takes a week to adjust) and I needed to spend time with my grandmother.
Secondly, the internal factors:
I am diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, that impact my ability to do schoolwork and ADHD which impacts my ability to focus. I am also diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder, and Autism Spectrum Disorder Level 1.
Since the aforementioned events made it so that I fell behind my anxieties became crippling and debilitated me to the point where I was either in a catatonic state for hours or I was in a depressive episode.
I think that if I can drop 2 of my classes then I have a greater chance of catching up and succeeding in my other 3 classes. I think the odds are better for me to pass/succeed in 3 classes than to fail/do mediocre in 5 classes.
