Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Back in November, I was planning on submitting an appeal to drop out from HIST 228 but I withdrew the application as I thought I could catch up on the assignments since I reached out to the professor and she allowed me to hand in the late work but unfortunately I had a hard time balancing course work and struggling with my mental health which caused me difficulties in doing so. I know it is extremely late in the year to do this but I hope that you can grant me permission to drop this course. I have not submitted anything to this course due to the immense stress that I was experiencing throughout the year and the fact that a fail might appear on my transcript, lowering my GPA is also making my health worse. Relevant documentation that I will be submitting is a note from my doctor. It outlines my declining health as well as my need for long term considerations.
