Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I had extenuating circumstances filled out from November 29th until December 10th. Although it was my responsibility to email my professor regarding the validated exemption from school, I managed to forget to send my professor the email with everything going on regarding my condition. This resulted in my final exam grade becoming a 0 on and lowering my final grade by 20%. I have been in contact with the considerations team, my academic advisor and my professor in the past few days who have let me know that there is no deferred exam. As severe as my condition is, I cannot afford to forfeit this grade and I am writing in serious disappointment that I could not of stayed on top of this one email. If there is any chance of this grade being appealed that would be greatly appreciated because It would hurt to see all my hard work go to waste based off of one email. Please let me know if this exemption could be completed and I will make sure to stay on top of everything as I am in recovery and things are finally starting to look up for me.
