Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,
My name is Lauren Hood and I am a first year student taking PSYC 100. On December 8th, the PSYC 100 exam took place and in the last week, I received a mark stating that I failed. The day the exam took place, I was feeling very lightheaded and ill, only to discover later on that I was infected by omicron- a variation of covid. I moved out of my residence building and began to isolate 10 days after date of December 8th. I am requesting an appeal regarding the situation that occurred. I understand that nothing may be done, but I wanted to attempt and see if there is anything that could be done. The failed exam resulted in a failed first term as well, which is something I hope to additionally fix. I hope you are able to consider my request or even suggest other options for me to do in order to help recover my mark. Thank you again for your time.
