Petition Letter: Hello,
Recently, My mother was diagnosed with stage four cancer. If that wasn't bad enough, her cancer is getting worse. As my Father works more than full time to support her and me, he does not have much time to care for her. I want to request that my courses for the winter term be transitioned to remote past the date of February 28, As I'd like to stay home and take care of my mother. We don't know how cancer will respond to the treatments, and I'd like to be with her if it continues to worsen, which seems likely.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: I suffer from an anxiety disorder, and the news regarding my mother has taken a very heavy toll on my mental health. If I were allowed to continue the semester remotely from home, my nerves would be more at ease, especially regarding my mother, and I will get to take care of her and spend time with her. My grades will decline if I return in person, as I know I would be too anxious to focus. I will do much better academically and mentally if I can transition to a fully remote term.
