Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Good Afternoon,

I am requesting this appeal to drop pols 355 as I genuinely believe that I can not complete this class and it is currently impeding on my ability to complete other classes. I have recently been diagnosed with a disorder which greatly affects my learning, I have taken multiple steps to improve and multiple consultations on different methods I can use to study but have yet to find a suitable strategy. I have even applied for academic accommodations to aid with this disorder, I have taken steps to help ease my academic but still find myself floundering. This semester I attempted to take closer to the recommended amount of courses and have found it completely overwhelming and as a result struggled with completing the course. I also believe it is for the best that I drop this course as I am attempting to raise my gpa and a fail in this class will only further hurt it.
