Petition Letter: Hi,
This past school year has been quite difficult this year as I struggled with multiple health and family issues. Earlier in the semester, I met with an Academic advisor who recommended I drop 2-3 courses before the deadline with the hopes that my situation would improve as planned. We discussed me dropping two courses and then appealing to drop a third if my situation did not improve.
Unfortunately, my issues have still persisted through the second half of the semester. Having reviewed what we discussed and talked to my doctors about it (therapist and family doctor). I do believe that this was what we had agreed was best. Although I am thoroughly disappointed in myself, I am requesting to drop ECON 360 late.
I do want to know that Professor Barber is an amazing and supportive teacher who has made this year so much easier. I look forward to being able to properly dedicate myself to one of his courses in the fall.
