Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: My parents got their divorce this year, and my mom is need of me being physically present, she was diagnosed with depression last year and I feel like I have to be there. She also had to get a job that is not very viable financially. Therefore, during March I was making plans to move back. I applied for my local univerisity and I'm planning to transfer into a nursing program instead of my current program. During this time I was also preparing for my CASPER test and preparing my living arrangments in BC as well as getting rid of items of possesion here in Kingston. I was completely focused on getting back to my mom, and I feel like there isn't any reason for me to take this Chemistry course in particular as it doesn't provide credits to my new transfer, nor did I do well during my midterm(I was so wrapped up in my familial issues that I didn't notice the dropping date).
