Petition Letter

Petition Letter: To whom this may concern, I am requesting for a regrade on my final April exam in physics 117. I feel as though the mark I have received does not accurately reflect my knowledge in this course. I went into this course having absolutely no physics background or knowledge from high school and underestimated how challenging I would find the course and how much effort I would have to put into it, making it a priority above all of my other courses. After money spent on weeks of tutoring and attending a course cram session, I felt extremely confident going into the exam, and coming out of the exam as well. I felt that I for sure passed and had an extremely positive feeling, which is why I am shocked to see I have failed the final exam, resulting in a fail in the entire course. I would like to request a regrade because I feel as though that will definitely benefit my mark considering I strongly feel I did not deserve the mark I got. I know that the work I put into this course and especially the final exam is worth a passing grade, as this will surely benefit the future path I hope to pursue. I feel as though the final exam should be regarded because I feel the written portion of the exam was marked unfairly and not accurately. In regards to the math 121 course, I would appreciate a reevaluation of the entire course grade. I feel that many things in this course were not marked accurately. The lecture style of this course was unmanageable and I felt it was extremely hard to grasp the concepts. Having calculus background helped a lot in this course which is why I am shocked to see I have failed the course. I would appreciate a regrade on the tests and the final exam because I feel they have been graded inaccurately considering my knowledge in this course and how confident I am in my calculus and mathematical abilities. I am shocked to see that this course has come to a fail on my transcript as I was confident leaving the exam and was entering the exam with a passing grade. Thank you so much, I greatly appreciate all the effort that goes into this appeal.
