Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am requesting an Aegrotat (AG) standing in the course HIST 109 because of extenuating circumstances beyond my control. In the beginning, I enjoyed the course and was passionate about its contents. Unfortunately, I became involved in a highly abusive relationship which caused me to get diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. I was affected by it from March 2022 all the way till now when I am still recovering. Finding the passion to write was very hard because I always had other things at the back of my mind. I had a lot of mood swings and on top of that, I had a lot of emotional stress and co-dependency on my ex-partner. I am now seeking help through therapy and medication. I am also out of my toxic relationship. I am taking to history courses online this summer, which will be my main focus. I have also decided to go back to my family home which helps my recovery by a milestone. I am determined to be a good student and become a better person. I have talked to my doctor and I will be submitting my diagnosis letter as soon as possible. Thank you
