Petition Letter: Academic Appeal
My name is Amaya Rojas and my student number is 20241021. I am looking to drop these courses because last year in October I was sexually assaulted by a group of men. Due to this traumatic event I returned home to Ajax. I reached out to all my resources in my home town and stayed with friends and family in order to cope. I have not returned to Kingston since. The reason I did not file this appeal sooner is because I have struggled greatly with anxiety and depression as well as dealing with the fact that I lost so much, I was afraid. But now that I am healthier and in a safe space I am ready to properly close that chapter of my life.
