Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Hello all,

Hope all is well.I am submitting an appeal as I am hoping to have have some of my tuiton waived as I it seems that I had dropped my BIO course just after the deadline. I travel to first nation communities for work and the place I was posted at at the time had no - to really slow internet.

I was unable to successfully meet group work expectations and decided to drop the course for the semester. I was under the impression that I had dropped it before the cutoff date and I had tried days before it was dropped successfully to drop that course, however my attempts were unsuccessful, most likely due to the slow internet connection.

If possible, I would like to waive the tuition for BIOL103 as I would have tried to complete the course the best I could instead of dropping it if I had knew I would still be potentially stuck paying for it.

I was still able to complete my other course I took that semester as it had less group work and I was able to complete things independantly.
