Petition Letter

Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,

My name is Ayden Adeyanju-Jackson, and I am entering my fourth year of global development studies. On August 5, 2022, I experienced health difficulties that impacted my ability to complete the summer term. As of right now, I have been able to complete GEOL200 and COMM251. However, I have only been able to complete 60% of DEVS392, and my health issues are persisting. With that being said, the purpose of this letter is to appeal for an Aegrotat standing in DEVS392 as I have completed 60% of the course, and believe that I have an adequate understanding of the learning outcomes. That is to:

?? Situate digitality in the larger global development frameworks
?? Understand main theoretical discussions around digitalization, labour and culture
?? Assess the larger webs of production, distribution, consumption and discard of
?? (technological) products
?? Develop an intersectional analysis on the impacts of digitality on personal, interpersonal,
?? communal and global relations
?? Unpack complex relations of power that manifest itself around digitality
?? Define and discuss digital cultures, subcultures and counter-cultures

This letter is substantiated with a note from a healthcare professional validating my absence, and can also be further supported by a letter from a representative of Queen??s Support Services if needed. Thank you for taking the time to review my appeal, and I look forward to your reply.

Best,

Ayden Jackson
