Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: To whom this may concern, writing this appeal today to add multiple late classes. I am an international student and I have been trying to get in contact with an academic advisor for the past few weeks and have been having trouble reaching anyone. During the start of the semester I ran into difficulties with my netID as my phone number expired and since I was outside canada I was unable to access anything until 3 weeks ago. During the two weeks I had contracted covid so I wasn't able to come into person to the office. I have called numerous times to the academic advising number, however, I was put on hold for hours and each time was told to call back. In addition to this, everytime I went to book an advising appointment online, they were fully booked. Last week I finally was able to get through to an advisor and they told me to email my profs directly as that was the only option. After emailing professors, they all said they would be happy to welcome me into their class and it was possible for me to catch up with the syllabus. However, they informed me they were not the ones in charge of entering me into classes and I had to make an appeal. Unfortunately, contacting different individuals within the department has caused me to take a considerable amount of time to write an appeal as I was getting different information and waiting on several responses. I understand the work necessary to catch up, and I am dedicated to complete any missing assignments and perform my best to do well this semester
