Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Dear Associate Dean,

I am applying to have my grades for HIST 122 in Fall/Winter 2020 transferred to CR.

Due to the impact of the epidemic in 2020, I left Canada in the winter term and returned to my home country. During this time, I struggled to carry out my courses properly while needing to be in a quarantined environment, and although I did my best to complete my assignments, this had an impact on my grade. At the time, Queen's offered the option of a pass grade and I changed some of my course grades. As I hadn't chosen my major program at the time, I was torn between DEVS and HIST. This meant that I could not drop the HIST 122 and DEVS 100 grades at that time, as the core course grades could not be changed.

Subsequently, after I was successfully passed by DEVS, the access provided by Queen's University to amend my grades due to the epidemic was closed and I could no longer amend my grades at that time. As I am currently working on my postgraduate application, my friend told me that I can try to make an academic petition to change the grade, so I hope that I can transferred my grade to CR for this course through this application.
