Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am appealing this grade because based on the wording of the rubric the instructors comments on the lower grade do not reflect each other. In the rubric it states that Paper is effectively organized. Ideas are arranged logically, flow smoothly, with a strong progression of thought from paragraph to paragraph connecting to the central position. Sources are appropriately cited and include in the bibliography., nothing to do with academic sources. The comment made for making this section of the report 10/20 is quote Your paper is reasonably organized. You don't have any academic sources Research is an important component of this assignment.. The first part is understandable since my writing is not the best, however I did cite my sources correctly and include a bibliography, which has nothing to do with academic sources as stated in this rubric. One could argue that there was another rubric before this one where you submitted this assignment which states Proper citations and bibliography (only academic journals, books, Government and non-government agencies). You can use one or two newspapers (max) in addition to books and academic journals. Wikipedia is not accepted. One of my sources was a government agency (Canadian encyclopedia) which is one of the accepted thing listed after bibliography. This change in grading would potentially allow me to increase my overall grade from a B to a B+, which I desperately need to increase my GPA. I am a science major however I worked on this essay for weeks and had many of my english major friends and future teachers revise this essay only to be very disappointed in the end result.
