Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am writing to request a late course drop for Film 336. In my second year of university I struggled with my mental health and therefore my grades reflected that. This year, I tried my best to improve my grades as well as my mental health, although taking 5 courses this particular semester proved to be too much for me. I missed the deadline to drop this class, and I did not know that I couldn't drop the course after this deadline. I did not hand in any of the papers in this class or do any of the coursework, and was being tutored to improve my grades in other courses. If my request can be considered it would greatly help me, as I am currently trying to improve my GPA and get back on track.
