Petition Letter: To Whom This May Concern,
I hope you are having a wonderful new year. I am writing this letter in regards to a course I would like to withdraw from due to unforeseeable circumstances. I was enrolled in Econ 222 during the fall semester where during the time of the final exam I had fallen sick which required me to defer my examination. I assumed after the winter break I would be fine but that has not been the case, I had fallen sick again around the 24th of December, I had taken a rapid antigen test and it had come out as positive for COVID. I have symptoms which include migraines, loss of taste/smell, and body aches. Due to this circumstance I have been unable to study and review for my final examination. I would like to drop the course as this is a disadvantage to my own learning, and would rather much take this course sometime in the near future where I am fully well and able to strive for a higher understanding of the subject. Your review of this letter is much appreciated and I hope to hear a response soon.

I arrived in Kingston yesterday and got assessed by a medical official. They confirmed that when seeing me my neck was strained which limits my ability to sit and affects my academic abilities. They obviously could not confirm when this condition occurred as they did not see me on December 24th, 2022 when this symptom first happened. I will submit the doctors note received.
