I have reviewed your request to apply for a retroactive letter of permission to transfer credits for courses taken through Athabasca University. As you know, Regulation 14.1 indicates that, €œThe student must obtain a Letter of Permission from the Arts and Science Faculty Office prior to enrolling in classes at another post-secondary institution.€ This type of request would not normally be granted; however, given your circumstances, I agree to this request.

Please submit your application for the Letter of Permission as soon as possible to ensure that the courses requested will count at Queen€™s. You can obtain an application form at http://www.queensu.ca/artsci/student-forms Please include course descriptions with your application form as well as the application fee http://www.queensu.ca/artsci/student-forms (click on the €œpay now button€) It may take up to three weeks to receive your letter of permission.

Note that official transcripts with final grades must be received by the Faculty of Arts and Science Office by 15 May to be considered for graduation at Spring Convocation, or by 15 October for Fall Convocation. Finally, please keep in mind that you must achieve a minimum grade of C on each course taken on a Letter of Permission, unless stated otherwise.
