Dear Ms. McCulloch:
I have carefully considered your appeal to request to formal review of your instructor€™s decision on grading of your infographic assignment in FILM 240. After reviewing your file I have decided to deny your request.
In reviewing the course syllabus and materials for FILM 240, it is clearly outlined that the successful and timely submission of assignments is one of the learning outcomes for the course. Dr. Matrix confirmed that she routinely makes herself available well before assignment deadlines to assist those who have questions and run into technical difficulties with submitting their assignments. Emailing the assignment to her prior to the deadline failed to meet the requirements listed in the outline. For these reasons, I do not feel that a formal review of your grade is warranted. However, I understand that you would like to accept our offer to change your final grade in this course to CR, based on the circumstances surrounding the final exam. I will allow this and change your grade in FILM 240 to Credit standing. Your final grade in this course will appear on your transcript as CR.
If you wish to appeal the Associate Dean€™s decision to the Board of Studies, you must submit an appeal to the Board of Studies within 21 days of the date this decision was sent.
