Dear Ms. Vickery:

I have reviewed your appeal to change the grades you received in PHGY 210, MATH 111B and BIOL 103 (Winter 2014) to Credit standing. After careful consideration of the documentation you submitted and the information supplied by the instructors about the circumstances surrounding these courses, I have decided to grant your appeal. Your grades in these courses will appear on your transcript as CR.

I would like to note that this is your second appeal based on the same extenuating circumstances. The appeals system is not designed to compensate for extenuating circumstances that are ongoing in nature for which the student is unable or unwilling to effectively manage or resolve. Before you register in further courses, please ensure that you make a plan to help you better balance your academics with managing your ongoing difficulties so they do not continue to negatively affect your progress.

Sincerely,

J. Hugh Horton, Ph.D.
Associate Dean (Studies)
