Dear Ms. McCarthy:
I have carefully considered your request to have your appeal heard after the 21-day timeline for submission, and have decided, based on the circumstances you refer to in your letter of appeal, to waive the timeline. You may now proceed with your plans to appeal courses from the 2013/14 academic year.
Note that as part of your appeal you will need to provide some supporting documentation that confirms the timeline and severity of your extenuating circumstances as well as the impact that they had on your courses at the time.
Please access on the on-line appeals system at: http://www.queensu.ca/artsci/help/academic-appeals/online-appeal-submission After you enter your NetID and password you will now have a new appeal option called €œSubmit a Late Appeal€. Choose this option and follow the steps. Your appeal letter should explain the extenuating circumstances concerning these particular courses, and include any relevant supporting documentation that wasn€™t included with your prior appeal. There will not be a fee for this new appeal, as it will be considered an amendment to your 21-day deadline appeal so the system will skip over the payment step.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Faculty Office for advice or assistance.
Sincerely,
Sue Blake
