Dear Ms. Austin:

I have reviewed your appeal to change the grades you received in BIOL 102 (F 2015), BIOL 103, CHEM 112, MATH 121, PHIL 111 and PSYC 100 (FW 2015/16) to Credit standing. After careful consideration, I have decided to grant your appeal. Your grades in these courses will appear on your transcript as CR.

I would like to note that appeals normally require documentation from a healthcare professional that confirms the full timeline of the student€™s extenuating circumstances, how serious or severe they were over this time period and explains the specific impact the circumstances had on the course(s) or term in question. You did not supply any documentation with your appeal; however, I have decided to exercise some leniency given that it would be difficult to obtain any good documentation from the walk-in clinics you visited. I would still like to receive a letter from your therapist, if possible confirming this information so if you can obtain one, please drop it off to the Faculty Office when you arrive in September and we will place it in your student file. Also note that any future appeals must supply detailed medical documentation in order to be successful.
