I have carefully considered your appeal to drop PSYC 100 (FW 2015/16) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I would like to note that this is a lenient decision. Given that you were unwell during the time of the midterm exam and unable to write it, you should have made the decision to request an exam deferral rather than write it in poor health and appeal to drop the course past the academic deadline. Should you encounter a similar situation again in the future, please ensure that you request an exam deferral or contact the Faculty Office at 613-533-2470 to seek advice.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
