Dear Ms. Oates:

I have carefully considered your appeal to drop IDIS 290 (F 2014), ARTH 228, ARTH 311, IDIS 210 (W 2015), ARTH 339 and ARTH 486 (F 2015) past the academic deadline as well as receive extensions of your incomplete grades in ARTH 310 (F 2014), ARTH 375 (W 2015) and ARTH 250 (F 2015). After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

You will have until the last day of the December Exam Period (December 21, 2016) to submit your outstanding work for ARTH 310, ARTH 375 and ARTH 250. It is your responsibility to get in touch with Professor Amos to go over the details of what you need to complete. Please contact her directly to set up a meeting time. You should also get in touch with Professors Spronk and Corbett to make any needed arrangements for the submission of your late work.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.

I am confident that in the future you will make every effort to inform yourself of the academic regulations concerning deadlines as they are outlined in Important Dates Section on the Arts and Science web page. These deadlines have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students and to facilitate the timely completion of university studies at Queen's.

Yours sincerely,

Johanne Bénard, Ph.D.
Associate Dean (Studies)
