Dear Mr. Frometa:

I have carefully considered your request to have your appeal heard after the 21-day or one term deadline for submission, and have decided, based on the circumstances you refer to in your letter of appeal, to waive the timeline. You may now proceed with your planned appeal to address courses from the Winter term 2016.

This is a lenient decision as you have no strong reason that you couldn€™t have appealed sooner other than you were €œunaware of any restrictions€. Please note that your Appeal to extend the Incompletes must include the date by which all work will be completed, as well as support from both instructors.

Please access on the on-line appeals system at: http://www.queensu.ca/artsci/help/academic-appeals/online-appeal-submission After you enter your NetID and password you will now have a new appeal option called €œSubmit a Late Appeal€. Choose this option and follow the steps. Your appeal letter should explain the extenuating circumstances concerning these particular courses, and include any relevant supporting documentation that wasn€™t included with your prior appeal. There will not be a fee for this new appeal, as it will be considered an amendment to your 21-day or one term deadline appeal so the system will skip over the payment step.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Faculty Office for advice or assistance.

Sincerely,

Sue Blake
Assistant Dean (Studies)
