I have carefully considered your appeal to receive an extension of your incomplete grade in GNDS 215 (W 2016). After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.
In consultation with the instructor in this course, I am allowing you to submit any outstanding work in GNDS 215 by April 30, 2017 at the latest. Because this extension represents a total period of one year after the end of the course, with no outstanding work submitted to date, you will not be permitted to appeal for a further extension for any reason. Your final grade in the course will be calculated by May 9, 2017, based on all the work submitted at that time.
It is your responsibility to contact Professor Houghtaling in a timely manner to make any appropriate arrangements to submit the course work.
Note that as per standard procedures, the Faculty Office will be assessing student records in May 2017 to review academic progression. Due to your ongoing inability to complete courses within the timelines recommended in your Letter of Accommodation, and your lack of progress in GNDS 215 in particular over the past eight months, we may consider requiring you to withdraw from your studies at that time, according to Academic Regulation 13.6 in the Arts and Science Calendar: http://www.queensu.ca/artsci/students-at-queens/academic-calendarsection-academic-regulations .
