Dear Ms. Nadler:

I have carefully considered your appeal to drop BIOL 303, CLST 214 and NSCI 324 (W 2014) past the academic deadline as well as receive an extension of your incomplete grade in BIOL 316 (W 2014) and receive Credit standing in BIOL 330 (F 2013). After reviewing your file I have decided the following:

1. I will grant your request to drop BIOL 303, CLST 214 and NSCI 324 (W 2014) past the academic deadline.
2. I will grant your request to receive an extension of your incomplete grade in BIOL 316. It is your responsibility to contact Dr. Tufts as soon as possible to confirm the arrangements for writing your deferred exam. This extension will expire on the final day of the 2014 fall term exam period.
3. I will deny your request to receive Credit standing in BIOL 330.

The circumstances described in your appeal letter and the documentation presented indicate that your studies were affected in the 2014 winter term. I am therefore, not able to grant your request for Credit standing in BIOL 330, as this course took place in the Fall 2013 term, well before your extenuating circumstances took place. Furthermore, the BIOL 330 instructor, Dr. Regan has supplied a number of emails you sent to her that demonstrates to me that you consistently failed to meet deadlines and failed to hand in work despite numerous extensions.

If you wish to appeal the Associate Dean€™s decision to the Board of Studies, you must submit a letter of intent to appeal within 21 days of receiving this decision.
