I have carefully considered your appeal to add PSYC 100 (S 2017) after the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to deny your request.
As you know, courses must be added on SOLUS within the published deadlines. The deadlines for adding courses have been designed and established in order to provide sufficient time for students to obtain the relevant permission, determine their interest in the course material, to consider their ability to handle each course, and to evaluate their overall workload.
Unfortunately, it is too late into the summer term to start a course this late. PSYC 100 in the summer term is the same full-year course but it is condensed into 3 months so at this point in time, the course has already covered 8 weeks of material. Assignment deadlines have passed as well, making it very difficult to achieve the grade you require for access to the Psychology Plan. I€™m also conscious of the fact that you had a recent concussion and you may still have some symptoms. You will have another opportunity to take PSYC 100 again next year.
If you wish to appeal the Associate Dean€™s decision to the Board of Studies, you must submit an appeal to the Board of Studies within 21 days of the date this decision was sent.
