Decision Letter

Appeal Number: 3405
Decision Date: May 25, 2017
Associate Dean: Sue Blake
Student Name: Jamuna Yoganathan
Student Email: jamuna.yoganathan@queensu.ca

Dear Ms. Yoganathan:

I have carefully considered your request to have your appeal heard after the 21-day timeline for submission, and have decided, based on the circumstances you refer to in your letter of appeal, to waive the timeline. You may now proceed with your plans to appeal courses from the Summer 2012 term to the Winter 2014 term.

Please access on the on-line appeals system at: http://www.queensu.ca/artsci/help/academic-appeals/online-appeal-submission After you enter your NetID and password you will now have a new appeal option called €œSubmit a Late Appeal€. Choose this option and follow the steps. There will not be a fee for this new appeal, as it will be considered an amendment to your 21-day deadline appeal so the system will skip over the payment step.

Your appeal letter will need to address how your circumstances affected the 10 courses you failed but not the other 10 courses you completed, some with high grades. You will also need to include an explanation as to why you did not drop courses during those times.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Faculty Office for advice or assistance.

Sincerely,

Sue Blake
Assistant Dean (Studies)
