Dear Ms. Lailey:

I have carefully considered your appeal to drop ANAT 101 (W 2017) past the academic deadline and receive Credit standing in PSYC 332 (W 2017). After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

Your letter makes reference to requesting a drop in ANAT 101 from the 2016 winter term as well but I cannot hear this request as it falls outside of the one term deadline to appeal. In order for me to hear this request, you must first submit an appeal requesting to waive this deadline and it must address the reasons why you were unable to appeal courses from the Winter 2016 term until now. If your appeal to waive the deadline is granted, you will then be permitted to submit your late appeal requesting to drop ANAT 101 from the Winter 2016 term.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.

I am confident that in the future you will make every effort to inform yourself of the academic regulations concerning deadlines as they are outlined in Important Dates Section on the Arts and Science web page. These deadlines have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students and to facilitate the timely completion of university studies at Queen's.

Yours sincerely,

Sue Blake
Assistant Dean (Studies)
