Dear Ms. Ravi:

I have carefully considered your appeal to drop CHEM 281 (F 2016) and MICR 221 (W 2017) past the academic deadline as well as request Credit standing in BIOL 243 (F 2016) and PSYC 100 (FW 2016/17. After reviewing your file, I have decided the following:

1. I will grant your request to drop CHEM 281 and MICR 221 late. Please ensure that in the future you monitor the drop deadlines carefully as a lack of feedback is not considered to be sufficient grounds to grant a late course drop.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.

2. I will deny your request to receive Credit standing in BIOL 243 and PSYC 100. There does not appear to be any significant difference in your grades in these courses compared to your grades from first year, prior to your injury. There is also no evidence to show that your grades would have been better in the absence of your knee injury and the problems surrounding it. Without such evidence, I cannot reasonably change your grades to CR.

If you wish to appeal the Associate Dean€™s decision to the Board of Studies, you must submit an appeal to the Board of Studies within 21 days of the date this decision was sent.
