I have carefully considered your request to have your appeal heard after the 21-day timeline for submission, and have decided, based on the circumstances you refer to in your letter of appeal, to waive the timeline. You may now proceed with your planned appeal to request to waive the requirement to withdraw for one year.
Please access on the on-line appeals system at: http://www.queensu.ca/artsci/help/academic-appeals/online-appeal-submission After you enter your NetID and password you will now have a new appeal option called €œSubmit a Late Appeal€. Choose this option and follow the steps. There will not be a fee for this new appeal, as it will be considered an amendment to your 21-day deadline appeal so the system will skip over the payment step.
Your appeal must include more detailed medical documentation that supplies the timeline, severity and impact of your circumstances on your studies, particularly during the 2016/17 academic year. The documentation should also address whether or not your circumstances are now being managed in such a way that you can make a successful return in September.
