Decision Letter

Appeal Number: 3925
Decision Date: March 28, 2018
Associate Dean: Jill Atkinson, Ph.D.
Student Name: Marshall Mackoff
Student Email: 0mrm@queensu.ca

Dear Mr. Mackoff:

I have carefully reconsidered your request to have your appeal heard after the one-term timeline for submission. Based on the new documentation you have provided, I have decided to change my original decision and waive the timeline. You may now proceed with your planned appeal to request late course drops in CHEM 281 (S 2016), WRIT 125 (F 2016 and PHYS P20 (W 2017).

Please access on the on-line appeals system at: http://www.queensu.ca/artsci/help/academic-appeals/online-appeal-submission After you enter your NetID and password you will now have a new appeal option called €œSubmit a Late Appeal€. Choose this option and follow the steps.

Note that your appeal letter must explain why these particular courses were impacted by your circumstances and not the other courses you took during those terms and earned high grades in.

There will not be a fee for this new appeal, as it will be considered an amendment to your one term deadline appeal so the system will skip over the payment step.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Faculty Office for advice or assistance.

Sincerely,

Jill Atkinson, Ph.D.
Associate Dean (Studies)
