I have carefully considered your appeal to drop CISC 203 (F 2017) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file I have decided to deny your request.
As stated in Appeal Regulation 3.3.2, Students may not appeal to drop a class in which they have received a passing grade. Instead, there are other appeal options that may apply, such as Credit standing for example. As you received a final grade of D- in CISC 203, I cannot allow a late drop of this course. Furthermore, the documentation supplied to support your appeal does not confirm the timeline or severity of your condition or the specific impact that it had on CISC 203. The letter from Dr. Weiss confirms that you were diagnosed with ADHD but that alone is not sufficient to warrant altering a grade on your transcript. There is also no explanation included in the appeal as to why only CISC 203 was impacted by your condition and not the other courses you took during the winter term, for which you received strong grades in.
