Dear Mr. Karns:
I have carefully considered your appeal to drop DEVS 320 (F 2015), HIST 286, POLS 395 (F 2017) and DEVS 300 (W 2018) past the academic deadline, request Credit standing in DEVS 340 and ECON 111 (F 2015) and an extension of your incomplete grade in COMM 407 (F 2017). After reviewing your file I have decided the following:
1. I will grant your request to drop HIST 286, POLS 395 (F 2017) and DEVS 300 (W 2018) and extend your incomplete grade in COMM 407. Please get in touch with Professor Swift now to make the appropriate arrangements. Any outstanding work, tests, exams, etc. must be submitted by September 15, 2018 at the latest.
2. I must unfortunately deny your request to drop DEVS 320 (F 2015) and receive Credit standing in DEVS 340 and ECON 111 (F 2015). The documentation supplied with your appeal confirms the timeline and severity of your health conditions for the 2017 Fall term and 2018 Winter term but there is nothing included that addresses the timeline and severity of your condition from the 2015 Fall term or the impact that your condition had on DEVS 320, DEVS 340 and ECON 111 in particular. Without such information, I am not able to justify altering your transcript so long after the fact.
