I have carefully considered your appeal to drop DRAM 100, POLS 110 and PSYC 100 (FW 2017-18) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.

I have granted this appeal based on the severity of your extenuating circumstances which took place after the deadline date to drop courses. I need to warn you however that the appeals process is not meant to be used to manage an ongoing situation. Instead, students should consider taking a lighter course load and evaluating the impact of their circumstances on their studies prior to week 8 of term. The drop deadlines, as they have been outlined in the €œImportant Dates€ section on the Arts and Science web page, have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students and give them adequate time to evaluate their progress in light of their health issues.

Please note that the Requirement to Withdraw will be removed from your transcript due to the late dropping of these courses.
