Dear Ms. Sarkisian:

I have reviewed your appeal to drop WRIT 120 (W 2018) as well as change the grades you received in SOCY 273, SOCY 389 (W 2018) and ARTH 226 (F 2016) to Aegrotat standing. After careful consideration of the documentation you submitted and the information supplied by the instructors about the circumstances surrounding these courses, I have decided the following:

1. I will grant your appeal to drop WRIT 120 (W 2018).

2. I will grant your appeal for Aegrotat standing in SOCY 273 and SOCY 389. The instructor of SOCY 273 has submitted a replacement grade based on the work you have completed, which will appear on your transcript as a B along with the notation €œAegrotat: estimated grade€. The instructor of SOCY 389 has submitted a replacement grade based on the work you have completed, which will appear on your transcript as a B- along with the notation €œAegrotat: estimated grade€.

3. I will deny your request to for Aegrotat standing in ARTH 226. Based on the lack of sufficient documentation to support extenuating circumstances during Fall term 2016 as well the opportunity you were given by the instructor to complete the course requirements, I cannot justify altering your transcript after the fact.
