Dear Ms. Travassos:
I have carefully considered your request to have your appeal heard after the 21-day deadline for submission of an appeal to Waive the Requirement to Withdraw, and have decided, based on the circumstances you refer to in your letter of appeal, to waive the timeline. You may now proceed with your planned appeal to Waive the Requirement to Withdraw for One Year.
Please access on the on-line appeals system at: http://www.queensu.ca/artsci/help/academic-appeals/online-appeal-submission After you enter your NetID and password you will now have a new appeal option called €œSubmit a Late Appeal€. Choose this option and follow the steps. Your appeal letter should explain the extenuating circumstances concerning your academic record, and include any relevant supporting documentation. There will not be a fee for this new appeal, as it will be considered an amendment to your 21-day deadline appeal so the system will skip over the payment step.
Please note that you will not be able to register in any courses until a decision is made and that process may take several weeks.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Faculty Office for advice or assistance.
Sincerely,
Johanne Bénard, Ph.D.
