I have carefully considered my previous decision to grant your appeal to waive the requirement to withdraw for one year. Based on the severity of your extenuating circumstances, I will allow you to drop ARTH 116, BISC 100 (F 2017), ARTH 117, ASTR 101, BISC 101 (W 2018), and CLST 129 (FW 2017-18) past the academic deadline.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.

I need to warn you that the appeals process is not meant to be used to manage a chronic condition. Your appeal letter indicates that you will be registering with QSAS and will work with an accommodation advisor to manage your academics and I would encourage you to do so. You should also consider taking a lighter course load and evaluate the impact of your health on your studies prior to week 8 of term. The drop deadlines, as they have been outlined in the €œImportant Dates€ section on the Arts and Science web page, have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students and give them adequate time to evaluate their progress in light of their health issues.
