Course: ENGL 100
Term: Fall/Winter
Year: 2018
Category: Drop a course after the academic deadline
Dear Ms. Jarvis-Cohen:
I have carefully considered your appeal to drop ENGL 100 (FW 2017-18) and BISC 101 (W 2018) past the academic deadline and have decided to grant your request.
Based on the information and documentation presented in your appeal, I am also willing to grant you Credit Standing in PSYC 100. Credit standing is a notation which replaces your grade on your transcript. The course is included in your degree requirements but the grade does not negatively impact your GPA. If you would like to accept this offer, please email asc.appeals@queensu.ca within 21 days of receiving this letter and we will make the appropriate changes to your transcript.
I am confident that in the future you will make every effort to inform yourself of the academic regulations concerning deadlines as they are outlined in Important Dates Section on the Arts and Science web page. These deadlines have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students and to facilitate the timely completion of university studies at Queen's.
Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
Yours sincerely,
Johanne Bénard, Ph.D.
