After careful consideration of the documentation you submitted and the information supplied by the instructor about the circumstances surrounding this course, I have decided to grant your appeal.

The instructor of this course has already submitted replacement grade based on the work you have completed. The grade in PHIL 493 will appear on your transcript as A- along with the notation €œAegrotat: estimated grade€.

I was pleased to read in your letter of appeal that you are seeking treatment and making progress in your recovery. I encourage you to continue to prioritize your mental health and will look forward to your return to your studies when you are able to do so. Upon your return, I would strongly suggest that you seek assistance, with regards to course planning, from an Academic Advisor. I further suggest that you consider registering with QSAS who may be able to assist you with appropriate accommodations in your courses which may therefore help you complete your university degree successfully.
