Dear Ms. Fung:

I have carefully considered your appeal to drop ENSC 321, ENSC 390, GPHY 304 and STAT 263 (W 2018) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.

I have also reviewed your request to complete your BA (Honours) degree with Medial concentrations in Geography and Environmental Studies on a Letter of Permission at a university in Toronto. As you know, Regulation 14.4 indicates that €œnormally the last two years of the Honours degree are taken in the Faculty of Arts and Science at Queen€™s.€ However, given the circumstances explained in your letter of appeal, and the support of the Geography Department and the Environmental Studies Department, I agree to this request. Please consult with your departments regularly to ensure that the courses you select will properly fulfill the Queen€™s requirements for your degree.

You may now apply for a Letter of Permission through the Faculty of Arts and Science Office. Please allow up to 21 days to receive a response.

Note that official transcripts with final grades must be received by the Faculty of Arts and Science Office upon completion of the courses. Please keep in mind that you must achieve a minimum grade of C on each course taken on a Letter of Permission, unless stated otherwise.

Finally, please be advised that a student can complete a maximum of 54.0 transfer units towards their BA Honours degree (see Academic Regulation 16.1.3).
