Dear Ms. Mazza:
I have reviewed your appeal to change the grades you received in GPHY 101, POLS 250B and POLS 244 (W 2014) to Aegrotat standing. After careful consideration of the documentation you submitted and the information supplied by the instructors about the circumstances surrounding these courses, I have decided the following:
I will grant your request to receive AG standing in GPHY 101 and POLS 250. The instructors of these courses have already submitted replacement grades based on the work you have completed, which will appear on your transcript as follows along with the notation €œAegrotat: estimated grade€:
GPHY 101 CR (because your estimated grade is low (D-), we will enter your grade as €œCredit€ so it will not affect your GPA)
POLS 250 C
I will defer my decision on your appeal of POLS 244, pending confirmation from Dr. Csergo that you have completed your second paper for this course and we will check to see if you are eligible for an AG grade (you have completed at least 60 of the course). Once you have submitted this paper, please ask Dr. Csergo to email asc.appeals@queensu.ca to confirm and I will proceed with your appeal.
Sincerely,
Johanne Bénard, Ph.D.
