I have carefully considered your appeal to drop GNDS 360 (F 2014) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.
I would like to note that in my previous appeal decision to you, I strongly recommended that you seek academic advising through the Faculty Office and reduce your course load until your personal challenges have been resolved. It appears that you did not follow this advice so I will once again urge you to seek some academic advising and drop some courses for the winter term. You are registered in a heavy load and it does not appear from your letter or from your documentation that you are well enough to manage this work load. The last day to drop a winter term course for a full tuition refund is Friday, January 16 and the final drop deadline for the winter term is Friday, February 28. Please monitor your academic progress carefully and drop courses as needed within these deadlines.
Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
I am confident that in the future you will make every effort to inform yourself of the academic regulations concerning deadlines as they are outlined in Important Dates Section on the Arts and Science web page.
