Course: GNDS 315
Term: Fall
Year: 2018
Category: Drop a course after the academic deadline
Course: SOCY 306
Term: Fall
Year: 2018
Category: Drop a course after the academic deadline
Dear Ms. Paterson:
I have carefully considered your appeal to drop GNDS 315 and SOCY 306 (F 2018) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.
I encourage you to continue to work with your Counsellor and support services available. I also strongly suggest that you assess your progress in your courses by week 7 of the term. If you have fallen behind in your course work by that point you should drop courses by the week 8 academic drop deadline date. These deadlines have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students and to facilitate the timely completion of university studies at Queen's. It is also important that you meet the timelines to submit work for the courses which you currently have Incomplete grades in. If you do not meet the end of term timeline to complete the requirements, the Incomplete grades will be changed to F grades.
Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
Yours sincerely,
Jenn Stephenson, Ph.D.
