I have carefully considered your appeal to drop HIST 241 (F 2018) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I have granted this appeal based on the severity of your extenuating circumstances but I need to warn you that the appeals process is not meant to be used to manage ongoing challenges but is designed for students who encounter problems, or whose problems become acute, after the drop deadline. Students should pause and evaluate the impact of their health and life circumstances on their studies prior to week 8 of term and drop courses by the drop deadline if they have fallen behind. I encourage you to formalize your accommodations with QSAS and to consider taking a lighter course load this term.
